.. I have mostly been working on recording some drum tracks at home for a demo for this band I’m in. It’s kinda weird as I’m recording them in my drum studio, alone. No one playing along, except my internal tape deck of the whole band in sync with the written song notes on the music stand. There’s a wee snippet of the outro of “Bad Girls” below at the end of this post.
It’s a good experiment and having the ability to post audio to some/one of these new blogs I’ve got setup was a motivating factor to overhaul the whole drumgit.com nastiness that I neglected for so long. Now I feel motivation to start creating, using this gear I’ve got to record some of that, and my new ability to be able to blog about it and actually post audio is very exciting.
It’s also really quite harsh listening to yourself on playback with a click. It’s become painfully obvious that I’ve some homework/revision to do on the drumming basics.
