upgrade

My current laptop is a PowerBook G4, 1GHz CPU, 768MB RAM, 40GB hard drive. Looks just like this ..

Went for the upgrade on Friday night ..

I just placed an order for a new MacBook, dual 2.4GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, 250GB hard drive. It’ll look like this when it gets here :) .

The difference in performance will be stunning .. I hope. One of the first things I’ll be putting on it is VMware Fusion. I’ll be able to run an entire lab of about 4 machines at once in that single little box… web servers, programming environments, plus audio software, my photos, music, etc.

The upgrades to OSX Leopard, iPhoto (plus other iLife apps) is one I’m looking forward to. I think the old one will be recommission to live by the TV and serve up things like mpeg files, youtube videos, etc.

    Got it! I now have no less than *5* monitors on my desk. Is that overkill? I only seem to use one of them very much ..
